A Look Into the Transformational Playbook of Markeshia Grant

We’re closing out the year at EMOIR with a special dedication to the women who are changing the face and culture of the sports industry. The Fall 2022 cover story features Life Skills Coach, National Basketball Girls Evaluator, and Savvy Skills founder, Markeshia Grant. The Gamecock legend goes in depth about her holistic approach to basketball that’s transforming legendary athletes in the making.

From the city of champions, Grant has left her mark in the history books at the University of South Carolina, and aims to do the same in the sport that changed her life. The guidance of impactful mentors, like her former Coach Dawn Staley, have played a pivotal role in the organization and programs Grant has built for young girls across the nation. It’s no longer just a game, the coach is creating personalized experiences that are changing the lives of players and parents forever.
