If you’re intentional about what you put into your body, but you still like to get a lil’ lit sometimes, then you need to know about Divine Libations.
Divine Libations is a Black woman-owned, spirit-led wine company that is reimagining winemaking and putting this artform back into the hands of indigenous people. Co-Founders LaShika and Christal Floyd maximized the opportunity to start Divine Libations with knowledge from their father, an infamous winemaker, adding to the minuscule percentage of Black owners within the industry.
The homegrown entrepreneurs noted, “We’ve built our brand with Black hands, from the wine making to the labels that are on the bottle. We’re extremely proud of that. We’re most interested in curating an educated and mindful experience with wine tasting and the act of pouring libation.”
Their goal is to inspire us to reconnect with our ancestral wealth by re-educating us on our ancestral traditions, while also sharing the enjoyment of winemaking. “A Black-owned wine business stands significantly on its own, and to take it deeper, we’re growing a brand that encourages other Black families to curate their own homemade wine,” the sisters shared.
The Winemaking Process
From the beginning, the Floyd sisters pull us into the experience as they take us along to the Black-owned farm where they hand-pick the fresh fruit that go into their libations.
Then they carefully sort and cleanse the fruit. Charge the water under the moon and with carefully selected crystals. Moving with intention at each stage of the process, and ultimately crafting beautiful wines that are unique to the refined palette.

The vintners offer a selection of wines, including the limited edition Hibiscus Rose, Peace & Love, and the fan favorite Pineapple Pear Pinot Grigio blend featuring juicy sweet pears, succulent, ripe pineapple, and a bright, flowery fragrance. The libations are available as either Mediate or Elevate blends. Mediate includes their regular premium homemade libations, which are mellow and focused. Elevate gives you the same options, but herbal-infused with an unbothered vibe.
“We want the world to know that our brand is more than wine. It’s an opportunity for someone who never thought about making wine to indulge in a new hobby that always yields a pleasant pour. We desire to teach others how to do this for their own family, creating quality time spent with every sip,” shared the duo.
You can get Divine Libations online and shipped directly to your home, or sample the wines and order in-person at a pop-up or event near you. But either way, this is a vibe that you wanna catch.
