For a second year, dozens of women will unite in the name of entrepreneurship at the unforgettable experience that is the She Owns It She Biz Conference. The full-day event for women in business will take place on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the UIC Forum,1213 S. Halsted.
In the midst of Women’s History Month, the hybrid business conference will celebrate professional sisterhood and spark conversations among new and established entrepreneurs and community leaders.
Christi Love of With an Eye PR and Keila Wilson of The Lea Pearl Group Inc. are the creative visionaries behind the conference. “We saw the need for clients and friends who work with purpose to build businesses and careers to inspire the next generation of Black women in leadership,” shared the co-producers in a statement.
“As Black entrepreneurs continue to grow, we see first-hand how Black Women are leading the way. Let’s build a community that helps Black women thrive!” expressed Love.
This year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Gena James of Business Boss, LLC, will take centerstage for an engaging conversation about the many facets of business. Guests can expect to experience panel discussions, educational workshops, networking, shopping with vendors, and live entertainment.
With the support of Black Men, the conference will unveil actions to support economies and communities across cities nationwide.
